Set in the glorious Yorkshire countryside, The Donkey Sanctuary Leeds is open to the public for pre-booked visits and for the first time ever Great Owl Running is hosting a set of trail races on Sunday 11 August.

the course

5km - The race starts at The Donkey Sanctuary and is a loop using the Ebor Way and The Dales Way Link footpaths.

10km - This Follows the same path as the 5km but continues onto a loop of The Leeds Country Way and Eccup Reservoir.

10 Mile - This Route similar to the 10km but adds on a small loop of Bramhope.

All junctions are clearly marked and marshalled and some key junctions.

WHAT’s included

Race Entry. All medals and tees are sold as optional extras upon entry. This is to reduce our impact on the environment, and to make our races more affordable for everyone.

Mandatory / Recommended Gear

Depending on weather we might make some gear mandatory, This will be confirmed nearer the date.

PARKING

We will have a field designated for parking. We always like to encourage all local runners to carshare, come via foot, bicycle or public transport. Please plan your journey to allow time to get to race HQ. We will have an area set to lock up your bikes.
